14 year ago, the game that has fascinated me throughout life, was released. And despite having 2 ports, for PlayStation and recently in Nintendo DS, on both platforms is essentially the same as it was in his mother platform: Super Nintendo.

In between, a group of fans did what many of us (fans) thought that Squaresoft (SquareEnix) had to do: rebuild the game in a 3D environment, in keeping with the times. Unfortunately, like an irony, the story so far has been the same as the evil monster Lavos said at the end of the game, when players beat: “BUT THE FUTURE REFUSED TO CHANGE”.

SquareEnix argued legal issues, for which the group had to cancel Chrono Trigger Resurrection project. A pity, because it was being precious:

And even when the game rebuilt was not looking at all anywhere, have come “media” related to development, and among these, undoubtedly the most beautiful: the music.

When I met the Chrono Trigger Resurrection project several years ago, I knew of only 3 tracks arranged by Mathew Valente, which to my surprise, now I’ll be an album with 25 tracks! Such is the music that can not be found on record stores or online retail sites. That’s why no blame, I found and downloaded the full album through bittorrent. The .torrent is easy to find.

But best of all, I found on youtube the “making off” of this music, along with some scenes of “Playthrough”:

Fewer missed some issues, which very well could have been in MP3/Wav/Ogg/FLAC, perhaps for a 3rd edition? Only Mathew knows: (
